In performing Google searches today, I noticed that when searching for Gothic Directory or Goth Directory, we appear on the second page of results. That’s pretty good, but our goal of course is to be on page one. Searching for Gothic Clothing, however, we don’t appear until page twenty-six, and I don’t know anyone who clicks “next” that many times. I gave up after 30 pages, searching under Goth Clothing. So that makes me wonder how search engines work.
